This activity is open to all students in the Università degli Studi di Milano. Students who show interest in participating in the book club commit to return the books within the agreed deadline and to meet once a semester with other club members to discuss the books they read. 

 

All books should be the property of the Association of Women Surgeons University of Milan chapter group and are meant to be bought with university money. Once the project is finished they can be donated to one of UNIMI’s libraries or a public library in the comune of Milano. During your turn with the book, you are responsible for it. If you lose or permanently damage it,  you must replace it at your own expense. 

 

Each person can only take one book at a time. You can choose the book(s) you want to read and there is no commitment to reading them all. However, the minimum requirement is one book per semester in order to have a panel discussion, this is also ultimately the final deadline for returning a book. Date for the 2019/2020 academic year TBD. 

 

They will be assigned on a first come first-served basis. If two or more people want the same book there will be a waiting list. Once someone has joined the waiting list the person with the book has 20 days to move it forward, if they haven’t finished reading it they can join the waiting list loop.
